A fixture on campus since 1984, the Student Success Center (located on the 3rd floor of Hearnes Hall) strives to enhance the mission of Missouri Southern State University by further developing, expanding and articulating the center’s support services for students. It will foster the potential of each student by providing college academic skills, disability services, tutoring and the tutor training course. Additionally, the Student Success Center endeavors to increase the visibility of its services through greater participation by students and the campus community as a whole.

Our Dental Hygiene Clinic was the site, today (Friday, Jan. 24), for a Free Sealant Day for children in the Jasper School District. The event was sponsored by the MSSU Dental Hygiene Department and Premier Auto Group of Carthage – with additional assistance provided by the Missouri Southern Foundation, Patterson Dental, the MSSU Nursing Department and Cornerstone Family Dental in Carthage, MO.

On Campus with Mike Olmstead: MSSU Men's Basketball Home Opener

Southern’s 10th-ranked basketball men opened the home portion of the season with a 113-63 win over the University of Saint Mary (Kansas) on Sunday, November 17. Junior Cam Martin led a balanced attack with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Senior Kinzer Lambert added 16 points on 6-7 shooting, while freshman Winston Dessesow (11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists) and juniors Stan Scott (10 points) and Dexter Frisbie (10 points and 5 rebounds) also scored in double-figures.
