Tim Klein, Theatre Department, invites the whole campus community to audition for the “Show! Don’t Tell! Festival of Original Drama” from 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, March 3 in the Bud Walton Black Box Theatre.

The Directing II class has written seven original one acts plays, all around thirty minutes long.  We have approximately thirty roles to fill with characters of all ages.  The effort needs interested students, staff, and community members’ participation to make this year’s festival a success.

“Such luminaries as Michael Garoutte, Brenda Jackson, Stephen Schiavo, Joy Dworkin, Betty Willems, and the late Jose Alvarez have graced our festival stage in the past,” Tim says. “I invite you to become part of a growing tradition.”

Tim says nothing needs to be prepared.  Just show up to  read from one of the original scripts.  Rehearsal time will not be invasive on schedules.

The festival will perform during the first week of May.
