hands2Diversity Week will be held April 8 – 12 on the campus of Missouri Southern State University. All activities are free to students, faculty, staff and guests.

The following activities are scheduled:

Monday, April 8
Noon – 1:15 p.m., Phelps Theater: Lecture: “Women in Jazz” by Galen Abdur, Flute Juice Productions
7 – 8:30 p.m., Corley Auditorium: History of Jazz & Live Jazz Music, Galen Abdur, Flute Juice Productions

Tuesday, April 9
10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Lion’s Den: Henna Tattoos, sponsored by CAB
11 a.m., Phelps Theater: Father Moses family history Expo “Honoring our Shared Heritage (Afro-Americans in the Ozarks)
1 p.m., Phelps Theater: Father Moses Documentary.

Wednesday, April 10
11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Lion’s Den: Make & Take Stained Glass Project, sponsored by MSSU Wellness Department
1:30 p.m.,  Beimdiek Recreation Center: Salsa Dance Expo with Judy Schneider

Thursday, April 11
9 a.m. – 1 p.m., Billingsly Student Center, Main Floor: International Club Expo
2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., Phelps Theater: Movie Lincoln, sponsored by MSSU Wellness Department
Free Popcorn & Free Soft Drinks

Friday, April 12
Noon – 1 p.m., Phelps Theater: Diversity Week Lunch and Learn -“Exploring Religions” Panel Discussion with Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist, Catholic and Jewish panelists
Lunch: Lions Club Croissants.

Students will need to pick up lunch vouchers in the Student Activities office by Friday morning to receive their free meal.
