The upcoming edition of the Newsmakers interview program focuses on Joplin Schools, from students getting ready to enter kindergarten to those preparing to graduate from high school. The program features information about kindergarten registration in the Joplin School district, and what parents need to do to get their children ready for starting their years in school.
Newsmakers also takes a look at the other end of the public school journey, discussing plans for the Class of 2013 and Project Graduation. Parent volunteers explain efforts to raise funds to provide an evening of activities for graduates after commencement.
This Newsmakers program will begin airing the week of April 7 at 5:30 in the evening on KGCS-TV. It will also air at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 13 on KOAM-TV.
KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems including Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink.
The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
