hawk-acctMissouri Southern State University sophomore Biochemistry/Biology-Pre-Med double major Alexis Hawk of Joplin is the proud owner of a beautiful diamond ring!

Hawk won the ring in the Diamond Dash that took place on the MSSU campus yesterday,  Tuesday, April 23.

The event was open only to MSSU students who followed clues to visit and took photographs of various locations on campus.

Once found, they moved on to the next clue on the sheets given at the outset of the Dash.

As Diamond Dash winner, Hawk now owns a 14 karat, yellow gold diamond ring, set with four round brilliant cut diamonds that weight approximately .48 ct. tw. (a $1700 value).

“We’re really happy about the response we received to this event,” says Craig Gullett, Student Activities Coordinator.  “The weather was damp and chilly but the students turned out in force to compete for the ring.”

The donor of the ring wishes to remain anonymous.
