legacy-day-accentsLegacies of alumni will receive the opportunity to explore what Missouri Southern is all about at this year’s annual Legacy Day.

A Legacy is a child lucky enough to have one or more relatives that graduated or attended MSSU.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, Legacies will have the opportunity to show their spirit while having fun with many other Missouri Southern Lions.

Registration will begin at 2:30 p.m. and an assortment of interactive classes will follow at 3 p.m. These exciting classes will be taught by Missouri Southern’s very own Teacher Education majors in the Taylor Education Building. The classes will allow each legacy to bring home a little piece of MSSU.

Interactive classes include the following:

Ages 5-7
Create three Lion art projects and learn about a lion’s habitat, senses and more!

Ages 8—10
Make a Lion bank, no-bake cookies, and Chinese Puppets. learn about savings, safety and have a puppet show!

Ages 11-13
Play Minute-to-Win-It and build the best aerodynamic air plane using straws.

Ages 14—17
Take a campus tour and learn about becoming a MoSo Lion!

Activities will come to a close at 5 p.m. Then the Legacies are invited to help cheer on the Lions at the football game against Central Missouri. The kickoff will be at 6 p.m.
