The ACTS Office and Career Services have once again partnered to offer the Fall Major, Minor, and Career Exploration Event Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The ACTS Office is organizing the majors and minors fair in the ballroom and the Career Services Office is organizing the breakout sessions held throughout the third floor of BSC.

The Majors and Minors Fair will offer opportunities for students to explore degree options and meet with faculty and student representatives from a variety of departments.  Students with an undecided major or students unsure about their chosen major are encouraged to attend.  ACTS staff will be on hand to help students connect their individual interests with their academic interests.

In response to employer feedback the Spring Career Fair was revamped to create a purely exploration event.  Employers felt that many students were not ready to respond to employment and internship opportunities in a traditional career fair.  However, everyone agreed that it was important to offer the opportunity to interact with alumni and employers active in the field.

Area professionals will be presenting in breakout sessions, offered every half hour and covering a variety of career options.  A schedule of presenters can be viewed at http://www.mssu.edu/career/student-breakout-sessions.php.  Please note:  The schedule will be updated until the day of the event so please check back for a complete schedule.
