Mike Fox, Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, and Frank and Vida Martinez, MSSU Physical Plant Custodial Services team members, recently attended the 2013 Missouri School Plant Managers Association Fall Conference at Lodge of the Four Seasons, Lake Ozark, Mo.

At the conference banquet held Monday night, Mike Fox  was passed the gavel by past-president Shawn Dilday, Neosho R-5 . Mike will serve as president of the organization for the 2013-2014 term.

The MSPMA, chartered in 1991, was formed in the interest of enhancing and promoting the educational process through support staff operations. Its purpose is to provide for the exchange of information that will improve school plant management, maintenance and care, through the promotion of acceptable policies, standards and practices.

This year’s Fall Conference played host to 78 schools from throughout Missouri.  Individual members attending the event totaled 147. Their participation from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1 included training sessions on Monday and Tuesday, as well as, a trade show comprised of 104 vendors.
