Seven members of the Super Leaders program at Missouri Southern were recognized during a recent induction ceremony.

The semester-long program is offered through a partnership between Missouri Southern and the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network. The program completed its third semester of working to develop the next generation of young professionals.

In order to be inducted into Super Leaders, students must attend an eight-hour leadership development session and attend six half-day community and career exploration events held every other Friday afternoon throughout the semester.

Students inducted during the Nov. 23 ceremony were:

Aja Giwaro, junior health science major from, Minneapolis, Minn.
Agie Mai Jammeh, senior international studies major from Gambia, West Africa.
Madison Kienzle, freshman undeclared major from Joplin, Mo.
Joshua LeMasters, senior accounting major from Carthage, Mo.
Ashleigh McFarland, junior physical education major from Rio Vista, Texas.
Peter Thompson, senior mathematics and English major from Columbia, Mo.
