The Joplin-Jasper County Emergency Management Agency will present its annual severe weather class at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in the auditorium of the Mills Anderson Justice Center.

The 90-minute class will be presented by a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Springfield. It will outline the types of weather conditions that might develop into severe situations and need to be relayed to the NWS, and also stresses the need for caution and safety procedures that should be taken when watching severe weather develop.

The class is free and open to the public, and reservations are not required to attend.
