Rolla, Mo. — The Missouri Southern men’s track and field team picked up 12 top-three finishes today as the Lions competed in the 2014 Missouri S&T/Dewey Allgood Invitational.
The men’s 5k led the way as the Lions went 1-5 in the race. Andrew Webster took home the title in the event with a time of 15:11.10, nearly a four second personal best. Tyler Rush was second, while Adrian Todd, Jake Benton and Ryan Jacksonplaced third through fifth in the event.
Darion Boure placed third in the long jump with a provisional distance of 23-08.75, while Tylor Albright was fifth. Jazz Allen was second in the 110m hurdles in a time of 14.72 and was third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 56.41. Drew Buckner placed fifth in the 1,500m in a time of 4:12.74.
The Lions will be back in action next Friday when Southern plays host to the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational inside Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
