Sherry Noller recently joined the Alliance for Business as the director of sales and marketing for the organization.
Formed in 2003, the Alliance for Business is an educational partnership between Crowder College and Missouri Southern State University. It offers consulting and training to businesses in Missouri as well as nearby communities in Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
“Crowder administers the funding for the Missouri Works Customized Training Program,” said Lisa Robinson, director of the Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at Missouri Southern. “Sherry is working with industries to make sure the companies are eligible through the state guidelines, assist with scheduling customized training, and then make sure the training meets the needs of the companies.”
The Alliance for Business utilizes instructors from Missouri Southern and Crowder in such areas as APICS certification, computer skills training, environmental health and safety, welding, leadership/supervisory training and manufacturing technology.
Prior to joining the Alliance for Business, Noller served as research associate for the SBTDC.
