Missouri Southern has been challenged by the Governor to log 35,000 miles by the end of September as part of the 100 Missouri Miles program. The initiative is an opportunity to get active and healthy while enjoying the great outdoors.
“We started this incentive program back in March, but the governor is trying to beef it up with this individual challenge,” said Steven Benfield, director of campus recreation.”
He said that more than 100 members of the campus community have signed up so far. The 100 Missouri Miles program will be ongoing, while the 35,000 miles challenge will end in September.
Those who register will be entered into a drawing for prizes such as a bicycle, T-shirts, GPS watches and more. The more miles you log, the more entries you’ll receive for the drawings.
