Set in St. Louis during the Depression, “The Glass Menagerie” is one of Williams’ most powerful and moving plays and catapulted him to worldwide acclaim. It is one of the earliest dramatic portraits of the modern dysfunctional family. Mirroring the quiet despair of the Depression-ravaged ‘30s, the story is at once a period piece and as relevant as any contemporary kitchen-sink drama.

Directed by Tim Klein, the cast includes Cameron Lopez as Tom Wingfield; Ann Grace Lile as Amanda Wingfield; Samantha Green as Laura Wingfield; and James Zerkel as Jim O’Connor.

Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for senior citizens and non-MSSU students, and free for students, faculty and staff.

The box office is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. For reservations, call 625-3190. To purchase tickets online, go to http://www.mssu.edu/ticket-office
