Joplin, MO (SNS) – Helping businesses and employers understand their options and responsibilities when it comes to the Affordable Care Act will be the topic of a workshop offered by Missouri Southern’s Small Business & Technology Development Center.
The free workshop will be presented by Kathy Macomber – community development specialist with University of Missouri Extension – from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, a the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, 320 E. Fourth St.; and again from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Monday, April 6, in Room 108 of the Robert W. Plaster School of Business on the university campus.
The event is part of MU Extension’s Health Insurance Education Initiative and will address how small business is impacted and explain eligibility for the Small Business Health Care Tax Credit. Following the presentation, time will be available for questions.
