Joplin, MO (SNS) – The upcoming edition of “Newsmakers” KGCS-TV focuses on the academic career of Dr. Pat Lipira, Missouri Southern State University’s vice president for academic affairs.

Lipira plans to retire at the end of the current term and during the interview, she reflects on her career in higher education. She recalls coming to Missouri Southern and serving as softball and volleyball coach, and discusses her work with students in the classroom as a faculty member, and her administrative roles as department head and vice president.

The program will air at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, April 12, through Thursday, April 16, on KGCS. KOAM will air the program at 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 18. It may also be seen on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDiQKUre948
