Joplin, MO (SNS) – A number of new programs at the Joplin Police Department are highlighted in the upcoming “Newsmakers” interview program on KGCS-TV.

The interview features Joplin Assistant Police Chief Matt Stewart. He shares information about the new mental health court being started in Joplin, and discusses the Intelligence Led Policing program and how it is being used to reduce crime in the city. He also shares information about online resources available for filing police reports.

The interview will air at 5:30 p.m. throughout the week of April 19 on KGCS-TV. It will also be aired at 5 a.m. Saturday, April 25, on KOAM-TV.
