The MSSU Spring Career Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, in the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
More than 100 employers and representatives from graduate schools will be on hand to visit with students and alumni about job opportunities and the organizations they represent. Full-time, part-time, volunteer and internship opportunities will be available.
“The Spring Career Fair is a great opportunity for our students and alumni to explore career opportunities,” said Nicole Brown, director of Career Services. “Outside of a Career Fair setting, you submit your application material via email or online. This is a rare opportunity to connect with hiring managers, ask questions and find out about upcoming openings. “
Interest in this year’s Career Fair is high, said Brown. Hundreds of students turned out for the Dress for Success program on March 31. The program was designed to help provide professional clothing for those who may not be able to afford them. Registration for an etiquette dinner and networking event planned for April 6 quickly filled up, she said.
“We had 66 students sign up for the etiquette dinner,” she said. “Area professionals will be volunteering their time to work with students at the event and prepare them for the job market.”
