Joplin, MO (SNS) – In April, 10 pairs of dancers competed in the Joplin Chamber of Commerce’s Dancing with the Joplin All Stars program, and KGCS-TV was there to record and broadcast the presentation in its entirety.
This summer, KGCS brings viewers a different view of the event, with “Dancing with the Joplin Stars: All Star Dance Edition.” The program presents a view of the dancers from different camera angles, presenting a closer look at only the dancing portion of the program.
Students recorded the dancing action, and communication major Zachary Dodge edited together the special presentation.
“This program showcases not only the dancers, but the creative camera work and editing done by our television students,” said Judy Stiles, KGCS general manager.
The program begins airing the week of May 31 on KGCS. Airtimes include:
Sunday, May 31 – 9 p.m.
Wednesday, June 3 – 9 p.m.
Monday, June 8 – 9 p.m.
Thursday, June 11 – 6 p.m.
KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems including Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
