Joplin, MO (SNS) – Students at Missouri Southern State University will close out the semester with finals next week.
Concluding with two commencement ceremonies on May 9, the week will also include a business presentation and a track and field event.
MONDAY, MAY 4
Athletics Awards Banquet: 6 p.m., Connor Ballroom in Billingsly Student Center. During the annual event, a check for more than $10,000 raised during the Pride for Pink campaign will be presented to the Freeman Foundation.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 6
Where’s Your Export Market?: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce, 320 E. Fourth St. The interactive session is designed to provide insight and information on actions you can take to successfully identify, research and enter new international markets. Stop by the workshop for career and resume advice, assistance creating or editing your resume, assistance researching careers, information on job shadowing and internships or resume printing. SATURDAY, MAY 9
Commencement: 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m., Leggett & Platt Athletic Center. The commencement ceremony for the graduates of the Schools of Business and Education, as well as graduates with bachelor’s degrees in General Studies and Applied Sciences, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Graduates of the Schools of Arts & Sciences and Health Sciences will begin their commencement at noon.
