Joplin, MO (SNS) – The new edition of “Joplin Insider” on KGCS will focus on summer activities, while “Window on the World” will highlight a recent trip to Spain.

Hosted by Joplin Public Information Officer Lynn Onstot, “Joplin Insider” will feature information on summer programs and activities offered by the Parks and Recreation Department. Paul Bloomberg, director of that department, will be the guest.

Airdates will include:

Sunday, July 19 – 6 and 9 p.m.
Monday, July 20 – 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 21 – 7 p.m.
Sunday, July 26 – 6 p.m.
Monday, July 27 – 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 28 – 7:30 p.m.

A Missouri Southern faculty member and students who recently traveled to Spain will be interviewed on “Window on the World.” Leslie Smith, assistant professor of foreign language, will be joined by students ReGenia Brown and Rachel Gonzalez.

Airdates will include:

Sunday, July 19 – 7 p.m.
Monday, July 20 – 8 p.m.
Sunday, July 26 – 7 p.m.
Monday, July 27 – 6 p.m.
Tuesday, July 28 – 7 p.m.

Both programs are also available to view on the station’s YouTube channel.

KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems.  The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
