Joplin, MO (SNS) – More than 800 students will begin moving into the residence halls and apartments starting Thursday, Aug. 13, in preparation for the start of the Fall 2015 semester at Missouri Southern State University.

Students will be moving in from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, through Sunday, Aug. 16. Several check-in points will be available for students who need directions or have questions.

A ribbon-cutting for the new residence hall complex – which features 51 student apartments throughout six buildings, the vast majority of which will be four bedrooms – will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13.

Classes are scheduled to begin on Monday, Aug. 17.

Drop/add fees and late registration fees will be in effect starting Aug. 24. The last day for a full refund of fees is Aug. 28. For more information, contact the Registrar’s Office at 417-625-9389 or 417-625-9336.

For students who still need to pick up books, the Bookstore in Billingsly Student Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10, through Friday, Aug. 14. The Bookstore will also be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
