Joplin, MO (SNS) – A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held for the new residence hall complex at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at Missouri Southern State University.
Located north of Newman Road and east of International Boulevard, the $14-million, three-story complex features 51 student apartments throughout six buildings.
The Quads (so called because most apartments have four bedrooms) are the first residence halls added to campus since 2001, and are already near capacity for the fall semester.
More than 800 students will begin moving into the residence halls and apartments starting Thursday in preparation for the start of the Fall 2015 semester
A ribbon cutting for another new building on campus – the end zone facility at Fred G. Hughes Stadium – will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.
