Joplin, MO (SNS) – Students in the University Experience 100 classes are undergoing ALICE Training sessions today at Missouri Southern State University.

The University Police Department uses the A.L.I.C.E. (Alert/Lockdown/Inform/Counter/Evacuate) training to teach students how to survive if they were to be confronted by a violent person with a weapon in a group setting. The hour-long sessions are being led by Police Chief Ken Kennedy.

Sessions are being held every hour on the hour until 3 p.m. today in Phelps Theater, located on the first floor of Billingsly Student Center. The media is invited to attend.
