The annual Safe Halloween event is planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, on the third floor of Billingsly Student Center at Missouri Southern State University.pumpkin

Sponsored by Residence Life, Student Activities and the Beimdiek Recreation Center, it will feature trick-or-treating, carnival-style games, a pumpkin patch and members of the 501st Legion in full “Star Wars” costume in support of their annual toy drive. The event is free and open to the public.

Other Halloween-themed events on campus next week include a series of scary movies offered by the Campus Activities Board and a screening of original horror films submitted for a festival sponsored by Southern Broadcasters.
