Kansas City, Mo. — For the fifth-straight week a Missouri Southern men’s track and field athlete has been named the MIAA Men’s Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office today.
Fraley earns the award for the fourth time this season.
At the University of Arkansas, Fraley competed in both the 100m and the 200m, finishing 8th in the 100m and 5th in the 200m. He started the day with an 8th place finish in the 100m where he was competing in a field of Division I and professional runners. His time of 10.32 was just off his NCAA AQ time he had already achieved earlier in the season. In the 200m, Fraley ran a time of 20.68, just off his school record time of 20.66, and captured an NCAA AQ in the event, ranking him fifth nationally.
Fraley now has an AQ in both the 100m and the 200m. He is ranked third nationally in the 100m, fifth in the 200m and 9th in the 400m.
The sixth-ranked Lions will be back in action this Friday as Southern plays host to the Bill Williams/Bob Laptad Invitational inside Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
