Joplin, MO (SNS) – Southern Theatre and the Show-Me Celebration Company will present “Commedia Princess and the Pea” at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, and Sunday, April 24, in the Taylor Performing Arts Center at Missouri Southern State University.

The commedia players are poor travelers who act out the story of “The Princess and the Pea” with props made from objects they’ve found. Because they each bring their special talents to the performance, they tell this familiar, old story in a brand new way. The production is directed by Ann Lile.

Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under. The Southern Theatre box office is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. To purchase tickets onlne, visit www.mssu.edu/ticket-office.

For requests for accommodations related to a disability, contact Terri Spencer at 417-625-9393 at least 72 hours before the performance.
