Joplin, MO (SNS) – Area children, teens, coaches and others can take part in a variety of youth camps and lessons offered this summer at Missouri Southern State University.
Swimming lessons will be held for children from 6 months up to 5 years. Private and group lessons are also available for other ages. For information, call 417-625-9533 or visit http://mssu.edu/aquatics.
A total of 10 sports camps will take place between late May and early August. The camps, primarily designed for young or high-school age children, include baseball, football, softball, pole vault, men’s basketball, women’s soccer, volleyball and women’s basketball.
“These camps will truly benefit the young people taking part,” said Jared Bruggeman, director of athletics. “We’ll have some of our best coaches teaching athletic skills in a fun and positive environment.”
