Employees from Missouri Southern provided 10 percent of the entire volunteer workforce during the United Way Day of Action earlier this month.
The Staff Senate adopted the Day of Action as an annual project. Forty-two participants represented MSSU during the June 17 event, giving their time to serve at the Children’s House, Children’s Haven, Joplin Association for the Blind and both Joplin YMCA locations. The women’s basketball team joined in, doing landscape and yard work at Children’s House.
“We want to offer our sincere thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and helped make this event a huge success,” said Pamela Hosp, Staff Senate member and organizer of MSSU’s Day of Action activities. “We are MOSO proud!”
