Dr. James Jackson will present “The Isles of the British Isles” at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, in Webster Hall’s Corley Auditorium.
Jackson, a biology professor emeritus who taught for 38 years at Missouri Southern, will discuss why he and his wife, Brenda, have visited the British Isles more than 20 times and the benefit of deep tourism over broad tourism. He will also describe the mystical, mythical isles of Skye, Man, Orkney, Shetland, Wight, Guernsey, Jersey and the outer Hebrides.
The presentation is offered as part of the Great Britain Semester. It is free and open to the public.
