Missouri Southern will offer annual Title IX training at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, in the Billingsly Student Center Ballroom.

Each hour-long session will consist of a video presentation provided by Husch Blackwell. Attendees are asked to bring their faculty/staff badge to scan for smooth and effective attendance tracking.

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law that protects individuals from sexual discrimination in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. To ensure MSSU is operating in a nondiscriminatory manner and all university personnel are aware of and comply with Southern prevention resources, policies and procedures, annual training is required of all MSSU faculty and staff.

If you are unable to attend a live session on the 15th, monthly Title IX training will be offered by the HR Training department the first Thursday of the month starting in October. Contact HRtraining@mssu.edu for more information.

Additionally, an online Title IX course is also available to faculty members via Blackboard. Please contact Scott Snell at ext. 9651 or Snell-S@mssu.edu with questions regarding the online course.

For questions regarding Title IX regulations, please contact Ron Mitchell at ext. 9531 or Mitchell-R@mssu.edu.
