Joplin, MO – The Phi Beta Lambda Club and the Plaster School of Business will host the second annual Middle-Level Leadership Day from 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, in the Billingsly Student Center Ballroom at Missouri Southern State University.

The event, which will bring together more than 260 middle-school students from 15 Missouri schools, will include half a day of activities focused on improving student communication, leadership and competition skills. They will attend several sessions and have the opportunity to interact with PBL club members to gain perspective on the advantages of being involved with extracurricular activities, including Future Business Leaders of America.

The event was conceived by Emily Brewer, a junior business education major from Cassville as part of her Honors Program curriculum.

Schools participating in Middle-Level Day include: Buffalo, Cassville, Chillicothe, Fordland, Hermitage, Hurley, Lutie, Niangua, Northeast Vernon County, Pleasant Hope, Rich Hill, Sarcoxie, Sheldon, Skyline and Verona.
