At Missouri Southern, your wellness is important to us. We want to make sure all university employees are staying healthy and active.
It is recommended that everyone should take at least 10,000 steps a day; the average American takes 5,000 steps a day. The overall goal of the Wellness Step It Up Challenge Minigame is to make employees aware of how many steps they are taking each day and increase their steps to the recommended level.
We have set an overall goal of 50 million steps for the entire campus, for the month of April. If we reach our overall goal, all of faculty and staff will receive free access to the Biemdiek Recreation Center for the Months of May, June and July.
Goal 1: 10 Million Steps –Free Recreation Access for May
Goal 2: 25 Million Steps – Free Recreation Access for June
Goal 3: 50 Million Steps – Free Recreation Access for July
How To Track
Click here to log your steps. You can log daily or weekly. Use your smart phone, Fitbit other wearable or pedometer to track steps. If you need a pedometer come, to the Student Activities Office to get one for free.
