On Campus with Mike Olmstead: Fish & Christmas Hats

This first Friday in December involved a couple of fun get-togethers. First, the annual Decorated Christmas Hat Contest inside Hearnes Hall – part of what’s become a tradition on the second floor this time of year, the “5 Days of Hearnes Hall Christmas.” The second took place at the Physical Plant where director, Bryan Goodwin and some of the supervisors embarked on a fish fry for their employees.

On Campus with Mike Olmstead: MSSU Men's Basketball Home Opener

Southern’s 10th-ranked basketball men opened the home portion of the season with a 113-63 win over the University of Saint Mary (Kansas) on Sunday, November 17. Junior Cam Martin led a balanced attack with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Senior Kinzer Lambert added 16 points on 6-7 shooting, while freshman Winston Dessesow (11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists) and juniors Stan Scott (10 points) and Dexter Frisbie (10 points and 5 rebounds) also scored in double-figures.
