Kansas City, Mo. — Missouri Southern senior sprinter Jeff Fraley has been named the MIAA Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week.
Fraley, a native of Waynesville, Mo., won the 60m at the Jayhawk Invite hosted by the University of Kansas, this past weekend. Fraley ran a 6.72 in the prelims, just .01 off his school record and easily qualified No. 1 for the finals. He ran a 6.77 in the finals to take the event.
The time ranks third nationally in the event he has already qualified for. He was also second in the advanced section of the 400m.
Fraley and the Lions will play host to the MSSU Lion Open this Friday and Saturday on Mercy Track inside the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center.
