Spring training is underway for Major League Baseball, and thoughts are turning towards the start of the season. Area baseball fans can hear what representatives from the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals have to say in an upcoming special edition of Newsmakers on KGCS-TV.
The interviews were recorded during the teams’ caravan visits to Joplin last month. Players and former players interviewed include Shelby Miller, Seth Maness, John Mabry, Cal Eldred, Alan Benes and Al Hrabosky from the Cardinals and Danny Duffy from the Cardinals.
“This program was truly a team effort for KGCS-TV, with our students working with staff to record the interviews and create the program,” says Judy Stiles, KGCS General Manager. “We are glad to be able to present more in-depth interviews for area baseball fans,” adds Stiles.
