Warrensburg, Mo. — The Missouri Southern men’s track and field team picked up five event wins at the Central Missouri Classic today in Warrensburg.
Seth Hackney picked up a win and a big provisional in the shot put as he moved up to No. 9 nationally in the event. He thre a distance of 55-7.75 to take the title. Dustin Green was second with a provisional of his own, while Evan Moore placed fourth. Moore was third in the weight throw, while Green placed fifth and Nicklas Polizzi was seventh.
Michael Juergens picked up a big provisional of his own as he won the pole vault in a height of 16-2 to move up to tenth nationally in the event rankings. John Lowe was fourth, while Jayce Thomas, Brady Melugin, Jarret Keller and Zach Bobbett placed 5th, 7th, and 9th, respectively.
Tyler Albright won the long jump in a distance of 22-6.25, while Darion Boure andClark Tanksley placed second and third. JJ Jones was sixth in the event. Tanksley won the high jump with a provisional height of 6-9.50 which ranks him 13th nationally. Thomas was third in the event.
Erron Holley placed second in the 60m dash, while JAke Benton, Colton Wooldridgeand Alex MAson placed 7-8-9 in the mile. Anthony Price won the 400m with a time of 50.22, just shy of a provisional in the event, while Miles Migliara and Andrew Websterplaced third and fourth in the 800m.
The Lions will be back in action next weekend competing in the 2013 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Warrensburg
