Joplin, Mo. — The Missouri Southern men’s track and field program has qualified six individuals in seven events for the 2013 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, March 8-9 in Birmingham, Ala.
Coming off of a third-place finish at this past weekend’s MIAA Championships, the Lions moved back into the top 25 national poll this week coming in at 21st nationally. Southern is ranked fourth in the region.
Jeff Fraley qualified for both the 60m and the 200m dash. He is ranked 12th in the 60m and fifth in the 200m.
Clark Tanksley qualified 11th in the high jump, while Michael Juergens qualified 15th in the pole vault. Darion Boure is ranked ninth in the triple jump, while Seth Hackneyranks 10th in the shot put. Jayce Thomas qualified and is ranked seventh in the heptathlon.
