Kansas City, Mo. — Missouri Southern juniors Marquis Addison and Jordan Talberthave been named All-MIAA as announced by the league office today.
Addison was a second-team member, while Talbert was named honorable mention.
Addison scored his 1,000th point this season and leads the Lions with 17.7 points per game. He ranks fourth in the MIAA in scoring and steals, while ranking sixth in free-throw shooting. He has scored in double-figures in all but four games this season, hitting 20 or more 12 different times.
Talbert has started every game for the Lions this season playing the post position. Also a solid outside shooter, he has made 41 percent of his three-pointers, connecting on 15-of-37. He is third in the MIAA in blocks, while ranking fifth in rebounding and third in offensive rebounds and has scored in double-figures in all but eight games this season, while registering a double-double in seven games. He ranks 21st in Division II in blocks.
The Lions will be in action tonight in a first-round MIAA Tournament game, taking on Emporia State in Emporia.
