Missouri Southern State University is making a great program even better!
Missouri Southern‘s Lion Pride In-State Tuition Program coverage area has been expanded to provide in-state tuition to include the entirety of Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma and additional counties in Illinois.
Students in the following Illinois counties are included in the Lion Pride In-State Tuition area: Adams, Bond, Brown, Calhoun, Cass, Clinton, Cook, DuPage, Greene, Grundy, Jersey, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, Macoupin, Madison, Marion, McHenry, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Randolph, Percy, Pike, Sangamon, Scott, St. Clair, Washington, and Will.
This program covers not only full-time students but also part-time students and distance learners. In addition to in-state tuition, it also allows students to qualify for scholarships and performance awards.
“Our goal is to provide an affordable, high-quality education,” said Darren Fullerton, vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Missouri Southern. “We are excited to offer this tuition program to even more students in our neighboring states.
“Lion Pride In-State Tuition allows MSSU the opportunity to offer its highly competitive and nationally ranked programs to a wider group of students while maintaining an affordable rate.”
Missouri Southern, the most affordable four-year university in Missouri, offers nationally accredited programs in Arts & Sciences, Business, Health, Public Safety and Technology, and Education. Hundreds of degree options are available.
As of this fall, MSSU’s in-state tuition rate is $173.20 per credit hour. A Lion Pride student taking 12 hours per semester would pay $2,078.40, plus books and fees.
Located at the Gateway to the Ozarks in Joplin, Mo., Missouri Southern is within minutes of the Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas borders. Historic Route 66 runs through the city. The major metropolitan areas of Kansas City, Springfield, Tulsa, Okla., and the Branson are only one or two hours away from campus.
