PBL-Contest-Summer-2013-adjustedStudents from the Robert W. Plaster School of Business (PSB) from Missouri Southern State University received honors at the  Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) National Leadership Conference held in Anaheim, Calif., June 22-25.

This year’s conference theme was “Igniting Innovation.” Over 1800 students took part.

The MSSU Phi PBL club won or placed in several competitions.

• Ryan Prisock (senior, Joplin) won the National Championship in Economic Analysis and Decision Making and also earned 2nd place in Financial Analysis and Decision Making.

• Billy Eigenmann (senior, Carthage) placed 4th in Digital Video Production.

• The team of Hailey Aguinaga (junior, Carthage) and Kyle Prisock (junior, Joplin) placed 5th in Emerging Business Issues.

• The team of Raycee Thompson (sophomore, Joplin) and Kara Sheppard (sophomore, Poplar Bluff) placed 6th in Business Ethics.

• The team of Hailey Aguinaga, Kara Sheppard, and Tiffannie Roberts (junior, Webb City) placed 10th in Management Analysis and Decision Making.

The MSSU PBL club is sponsored by the Robert W. Plaster School of Business. PBL, the collegiate equivalent of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), is an educational association of postsecondary student members preparing for careers in business.

There are over 11,000 active members in the United States including 350 members with 20 chapters in Missouri.

PBL, in association with FBLA, is the nation’s oldest and largest business organization for students.

The Robert W. Plaster School of Business operates out of the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center at Missouri Southern State University.
