The Pi-Eta Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Missouri Southern State University has received the Founders Award of Chapter Excellence (F.A.C.E).  The F.A.C.E award recently was handed out to 25 chapters out of 316 chapters across the country and Canada.

The award is won when a chapter meets a long list of criteria.  Areas such as outstanding community service, dollars donated to charity, grades, campus involvement, leadership, and many others.  This is the first time the Chapter has won the award in their 5 and half years on campus.

President Jerrick Williams, senior Physical Education major from Carthage, said, “This is a huge accomplishment by our brothers. Winning F.A.C.E is something that we have talked about every year, and now we have finally done it.  I could not be more proud to be a part of an organization that strives for excellence every day.”

Williams says the Brothers of Kappa Sigma look to build on this achievement and win the award every year.
