Two upcoming events for faculty and staff will offer chances to socialize and celebrate the start of a new school year.
The Staff/Faculty Appreciation Picnic is set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 7, on the patio behind Billingsly Student Center (outside the Card Services office).
Members of the President’s Council will grill up hot dogs, brats and hamburgers. Free MSSU shirts in men’s and women’s sizes will be available. In the event of rain, the picnic will be held in the Lions Den.
The Faculty and Staff Senate will host the All-Employee Back-to-School Celebration from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, at J.B.’s Piano Bar, 112 S. Main St.
The event will include hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Casual attire is encouraged. To RSVP for yourself and a guest, email Celebrate2014@mssu.edu.
