Joplin, MO (SNS) – The story of the original “He who must not be named” will take center stage when Southern Theatre and the Show-Me Celebration Company present “Straw Into Gold: The Classic Tale of Rumpelstiltskin” at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, in Taylor Performing Arts Center at Missouri Southern State University.
Blackmail, treachery and romance are spun into this classic tale of Rumpelstiltskin, the evil troll who can spin straw into gold.
The cast includes Lara Hicks-Burrow as the queen; Jamie Strong as the chamberlain; Mollie Sanders as the minister; Cameron Lopez as the prince; Valerie Stockton as Melinda; and Kyle Jacobs as Rumpelstiltskin.
Admission is $1 for adults and 50 cents for children 12 and under.
