The International Film Festival will continue with a screening of “Innocent Sorcerers” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, in Cornell Auditorium.
“Innocent Sorcerers”
The 1960 Polish film was directed by Andrzej Wajda, Poland’s leading postwar director. Far removed from his earlier work, the film is about the younger generation and undeclared love. The key to individual sequences must be sought more in the dialogue than in its visual images.
As always, Wajda marks his film with unfulfilled yearnings and vital disillusionment in which a blasé attitude replaces a heroic pose.
The screening is free and open to the public.
