The first show of the season – “Pure Dead Brilliant” – has opened in Spiva Art Gallery.
The gallery show was inspired by students’ recent trip to England.
The show features works created by Missouri Southern design students as well as faculty member Devon Estes. Inspired by the Great Britain Semester, the group recently traveled to England to experience the country first hand and view art, architecture and design works. Works featured in the show include design, sculptures and paintings created from their impressions of the trip.
A reception is planned for 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, in the gallery. The show will run through Friday, Sept. 9.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
