Open enrollment is in full swing, and this is the time to learn more about Cigna – the university’s new insurance provider. HR Training has announced the upcoming sessions, as well as a workshop on bettering your communication skills and information on services provided by New Directions.

“Get To Know” Cigna Sessions Coming

Cigna will be on campus Oct. 10 and 14 to host a variety of informative sessions and meet one-on-one with employees. Session details are below, as topics range from Cigna mobile apps and online services to how you as a Cigna member can use the insurance provider’s cost estimator tool and myCigna to estimate potential medical costs.  

As a thank you for taking a leading role in your insurance coverage and to help promote wellness across campus, each day Cigna is on campus Human Resources will enter every employee who attends a session or meets one-on-one with a Cigna rep into a drawing for a Fit Bit!  Congratulations to Ken Surbrugg, our first Fit Bit winner!

New Directions to Host Service Overview Sessions

Understanding the physical, mental and emotional wellness of university personnel directly contributes to the overall performance of a department and ultimately the campus, Missouri Southern partnered with New Directions, an employee assistance program provider, to offer employees a variety of services from legal and financial advice to professional and family counseling, all free of charge.

To help promote the variety of services offered by New Directions and help university personnel explore options, Phil Gray will be on campus Oct. 13 to host back-to-back informational sessions. Each session will consist of a brief 30-minute overview of the New Directions program followed by a Q&A with attendees.
