
“The 39 Steps”
Alfred Hitchcock’s “The 39 Steps” will be presented at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, in Cornell Auditorium as part of the British Film Festival.
The film offers a look at the “Britich Hitchcock” before the director left England to makes films like “Vertigo” and “Psycho” in the United States. The suspenseful spy story is about a man who stumbles into a conspiracy that involves him in a thrilling chase across Scotland and romance in a way that anticipates the director’s later “North by Northwest.”
The screening is free and open to the public.
