As a reminder for our students, faculty and employees, there are nearly 50 campus offices that have been designated as Safe Zones.
The Missouri Southern Safe Zone program was created to have a network of knowledgeable faculty, staff and students in order to create safe and open environments for everyone. Safe Zone allies can be identified by signs which hang from their office doors. These allies are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) individuals at Missouri Southern.
There are currently more than 40 Missouri Southern faculty and staff members that are trained Safe Zone allies on campus. Also, 13 Resident Assistants have completed the training and have volunteered to serve as Safe Zones for their fellow students.
