Joplin, MO – In anticipation of a major weather event and out of concern for the safety of all students, faculty and staff, the Missouri Southern State University campus will be closed on Friday, Jan. 13.

Students who planned to enroll or move into the residence halls are encouraged to wait until the roads are clear

The Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast and Day of Service is still scheduled for 8 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, in Billingsly Student Center’s Connor Ballroom. In addition, Admissions and other offices that support enrollment will be open during normal business hours on Monday.

Spring semester classes start on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
